Discover Israeli music, and connect to the culture of Israel
- Do you have family who speak Hebrew, and you only catch part of what they're saying?
- At synagogue, do you want to sing and truly feel moved, but the language feels foreign to you?
- Is your connection to Israel important to you, especially these days?
- Maybe you tried learning Hebrew but got tangled up in grammar rules,or just plain boring lessons?
What will we do in the workshop?
- We'll meet for three consecutive days: Sunday, October 18; Monday, October 19; and Wednesday, October 21.
- We'll explore 3 songs that speak to the same theme
- We'll speak Hebrew with the new words right away, in every session
- And most importantly: by the end of the workshop, you'll have more Hebrew, more comprehension, more conversation, and a deeper connection to Israeli culture and the language
Why does it work?
- We learn words and expressions from the context of the song - not from textbooks
- We meet as a group and interact with each other. You get to meet new people who also want to grow their Hebrew and love Israeli music.
- Your teacher is experienced with this approach, and participants love it. See their stories below.
- You need to be able to read Hebrew.
